Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2026: Buyer’s Guide
Dates, zones and a preparation checklist for retail, wholesale and brand buyers — plus where to find the Hangke team if you are sourcing decorative, outdoor or filament lighting.
Key dates and venues
The 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the HKTDC, runs 27–30 October 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre under the theme “Beyond Illumination”, bringing together some 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions. Its sister event, the 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, opens a day earlier — 26–29 October at AsiaWorld-Expo — and focuses on outdoor, industrial and technical lighting.
The two fairs work as one sourcing trip: decorative and connected lighting at the Convention Centre, outdoor and industrial lines at the airport-side venue. The organiser’s Click2Match online matching platform opens on 19 October and runs to 6 November, so buyer–exhibitor meetings can be scheduled before anyone boards a flight.
Zones worth your time
The fair is large enough that walking it without a plan costs you a day. Four areas deserve priority depending on what you buy:
- Hall of Aurora — around 500 brands presenting design-led decorative fixtures, the densest concentration of pieces suitable for retail and brand assortments.
- Hall of Connected Lighting — more than 50 international brands and industry organisations showing smart controls and connected lighting systems, useful for buyers planning 2027 smart ranges.
- Commercial Lighting zone — specification-grade products for retail, office and hospitality projects.
- Testing, Certification & Inspection zone — if you are qualifying new suppliers, this is where certification and testing questions can be answered on the spot.
A new LED Display Solutions zone debuts this year for buyers watching that category. On the programme side, the Innovative Lighting Design Forum on 27 October and the Connected Lighting Forum are the standouts.
How to prepare before you go
Admission is free with online pre-registration; on-site registration carries a HK$100 fee. Beyond that, the difference between a useful visit and a box of brochures comes down to three habits:
- Book meetings in advance. Use Click2Match from 19 October to lock in time with shortlisted exhibitors rather than hoping they are free between walk-ins.
- Bring your specifications, not just your interest. Target markets, certifications required, packaging and labelling expectations, and any reference products shorten every conversation by half.
- Ask the four questions that predict the partnership. What is your MOQ and trial-order structure? What is the sampling lead time and cost? Which certifications do you hold for my market — CE for the EU, UL and FCC for North America? And who owns the critical processes behind the product — in-house production or traded-in parts?
The factory-floor version of question four: a supplier who controls its critical processes can answer follow-up questions about yield, consistency and failure points without checking with anyone. A trader cannot. The speed and specificity of those answers at the booth tells you more than the brochure ever will.
Meet Hangke at Booth 1C-F14/16/18
The Hangke team will be at Booth 1C-F14/16/18 throughout the fair. Hangke is a B2B ODM/OEM manufacturer for decorative lighting, outdoor lighting and LED filament bulbs, producing in European (220–240 V, E27/E14, CE) and North American (120 V, E26, UL/FCC) configurations, with manufacturing and QC run to the audit standards of leading international retailers.
Preview Hangke’s products during the fair: Twins Series decorative lighting, and the LED filament bulb line including the IS Spiral Filament Bulb. Programme terms worth asking about at the booth: decorative lamp programmes typically start at 300–500 pieces, and filament bulb programmes at 1,000 pieces — with bulb samples in 3–5 working days and mass production 30–40 days after sample approval.

Extend your trip: visit Hangke in Zhongshan
If the conversation at the booth goes well, keep it going. Our office in Zhongshan, Guangdong is around an hour from Hong Kong by high-speed rail — close enough to turn a fair meeting into a half-day, face-to-face working session. Buyers use the visit to review samples in person, walk through programme details in depth, and meet the team who would actually run their project. Ask us at Booth 1C-F14/16/18 or contact us in advance to schedule a visit around your fair dates.
Can’t make it this year?
The fair is the busiest room in the industry, but it is not the only one. If your schedule doesn’t allow a October trip, the conversation can start the same way it ends at the booth — with your specifications and our samples. Tell us about your programme, and we will take it from there.
Attending the fair — or sourcing from Zhongshan?
Book a meeting with the Hangke team at Booth 1C-F14/16/18 (27–30 October, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre), or arrange a visit to our Zhongshan office after the fair. Contact us to set a time that fits your trip.
Products to review before the fair
Shortlist these before you walk the halls, then see the builds at Booth 1C-F14/16/18.
